Metal Hell breaks loose on "Blood of the Innocent" while lyrical reflections of sin and repentance brutally invade the primal senses. Spades & Blades have been taking notes from the likes of Pantera, Killswitch Engage, and Broken Bones since their inception in 2006. Songs such as "Lies", "Murder", and "Adultery" showcase the depth of these influences, but reveal they can harness them into a sound all their own. The OC Weekly describes Blood of the Innocent as "Metal with machine gun fast grinds, face melting guitar solos, and hardcore vocal articulation."
